Classic Georgian Staircase Design, Godalming
A classic Georgian Staircase design in a Surrey new build.
Project ID: 5436
Situated in an impressive entrance hall, both the classic Georgian staircase and the landing galleries are of generous proportions. Bisca’s brief was to design and build a staircase in keeping with the grand formality of Georgian times.
Faithful to designs of the Georgian era, our design is simple, elegant and classical. The staircase incorporates a slim steel structure clad in painted timber. A pastiche of authentic scotia molding acts as a feature along the stringer run.
A balustrade of blackened, burnished uprights guards first floor landing galleries, whilst gilded detail on uprights is true to Georgian style. A handrail of profiled, polished oak runs continuously up the stairs, before continuing along landing edges.
Landing nosing and curved landing skirting also designed by Bisca.
What Our Client Had To Say
We are delighted with how the staircase has turned out. We were also really happy with the organisation of the process on site and with your guys. The site team were super efficient.
